The Fish and Location: Located at the heart of the Nahuel Huapi National Park and 60 to 90 minutes far from Bariloche, the three lakes have similar characteristics…excellent fishing for brown, rainbows and brook trout. The average size is about 17-18 inches.
The Lakes: Depending on the time of year, we usually fish streamers and dry flies, both during a typical day. We fish the edges from Carolina skiffs, working the structure where rainbow and brook trout lay, with the occasional brown as well. With summer hatches of dragonflies and damselflies it is common to see fish jump for their food and “enjoy the violence” of the trout when catching the flies at surface!
